TOPEKA More than 230 tourist destinations throughout the state are taking part in the 2025 Sunflower Summer program, according to a statement released Monday by Kansas Tourism. There is something for every interest and area of the state in the lineup, including zoos, art centers, arboretums, museums, and historic sites.

“Sunflower Summer continues to open doors for Kansas families to explore and connect with every corner of our state with such a wide variety of exceptional attractions participating this year,” said Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland. In addition to giving parents and kids lifelong memories, this program boosts local economies by bringing tourists to Kansas’s main thoroughfares, museums, and hidden treasures.

The dates of the 2025 Sunflower Summer program are July 12–August 3. During this time, each participating attraction offers free one-time admission to qualified students and one accompanying adult every season. Passes are redeemable at the attraction when you arrive and can be obtained using the free Sunflower Summer app. Participation is open to Kansas students in pre-K through 12th grade, whether they attend public, private, or homeschool institutions. Only Kansas residents are eligible for the program.

Kansas Tourism Director Bridgette Jobe expressed her excitement about the return of Sunflower Summer for another year. This program is a fantastic way to honor the amazing experiences that Kansas has to offer. We are eager for the season to start because of the exceptional quality and diversity of attractions taking part this year.
