Okay, Laverne The Laverne Police Department asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to look into claims of sexual assault on June 22, 2025.
After conducting a thorough investigation, OSBI special agents determined that the suspect was Christopher Cassel, a 66-year-old pastor from Laverne, Oklahoma.
Cassel was taken into custody and charged with two charges of forced sodomy, one count of narcotics distribution, and one count of furnishing alcohol to a minor at the Harper County Jail based on the information and evidence acquired throughout the investigation. At this point, the investigation is still underway.
