USD 480 Board Approves Canvas Renewal

On Monday night, the USD 480 Board of Education convened at East Campus. The Board authorized the $65,240.18 Canvas renewal after approving the Consent Agenda. The Board then gave its approval to Contract Paper Group’s proposal of $26,871.60 for the District’s copy paper.

The Board authorized the expenditure of $14,825.00 for five employees to participate in LETRS Facilitator Training. The training is scheduled for July 22–25 in Garden City. After completing their training, the LETRS Facilitators would instruct other teachers in the district.

Davis Pest Control’s proposal of $19,160.00 for the District’s pest control services and $10,500 for Teach Like a Rock Star’s professional development were both accepted.

During the meeting, the Board authorized the creation of the Director of Recruitment and Education job and approved the Federal Programs Consultant Contract with Vicki Ansley. The Special Education Department also authorized four paraprofessional posts and one Special Education teacher position at MacArthur Elementary.

Since the current wrestling mat is more over 20 years old, AK Athletic was authorized to provide a wrestling mat for $10,638.87. Because there was no motion, the District’s printer ink perished.

$73,692 was granted for the LINQ ERP contract for 2025–2026. This sum is equivalent to that of 2023–2024 and 2024–2025.

The Board authorized the estimate from TCP for new timeclocks in the amount of $129,636.12 and the quote from JJB Transportation for the replacement of the door on one of the activity buses in the amount of $10,410.75.

Additionally, a payment for the rainscreen was accepted.
