A Liberal man was killed in a train/pedestrian accident. Around 2:09 p.m. on Monday, the collision happened at the intersection of S. Kansas Ave. and Rock Island Road. The train was traveling east on the train track, and the pedestrian, 54-year-old Liberal resident Adan Lozano, was traveling north on Kansas Avenue. The train hit Lozano in the junction. After being pronounced dead at the scene, Lozano was transported to Liberal’s Hornung Funeral Home.
