Angels Run Rule Bee Jays

At Double Angel Park in Parker, the Gameday Angels defeated the Liberal Bee Jays 14–4 in seven innings on Wednesday.

In the first inning, the Bee Jays scored two runs on two hits. Matt Bernath doubled off the wall in left to start the game. Drew Grego hit a double to right center with an RBI. One in the first was plated by the Angels. With eight points in the third, the Angels took a 9–2 advantage and opened up the game. In the fourth inning, Jack Ryan scored on a wild pitch to make the score 9-3. The Angels took a 10-3 lead after chasing home a run in the fifth inning. In the sixth, Landon Bruce hit a home run over the left field wall. For the rune rule victory, the Angels scored four points in the seventh inning.

The Bee Jays were outscored 15–8 by the Angels. With two doubles and a 3–4 record, Matt Bernath was named the Epic Touch Player of the Game.The Angels, who are 11-12, defeat Liberal 3-2 in their season series. The B.J.s are 10-11 in the Rocky Mountains and 12-11 overall. At seven o’clock on Thursday, Liberal will play a non-league makeup game at Dodge City.
