A new text message fraud is being warned about by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT). Falsely claiming to be from the Kansas Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and KDOT, the texts warn of impending enforcement and provide a final reminder of unpaid traffic tickets.
KDOT will never ask for or collect money via text message, nor does it collect money for tolls or traffic tickets. These are not authentic communications.
