The proposals for Grace Place Pregnancy Care Center and United Way facility fee waivers were tabled at the Seward County Commission’s Monday night meeting.
Resolution No. 2025-09, which deals with the cooperative use of Seward County, Kansas GIS services in the City of Liberal, Kansas, was adopted by the Seward County Commissioners. Additionally, an Interlocal Agreement was established.
The Commission approved fixing the roof leak at the EMS Building and approved the suggested rate increases for the services that EMS charges.
The Commissioners discussed Kansas’ conflict interest laws and heard an update from Kerbs Law Office, LLC addressing wind energy representation.
Tim Newman was appointed as the Seward County Emergency Management Director by the Seward County Board of County Commissioners following the retirement of Emergency Management Director Greg Standard. Tim Newman was also chosen by the County Commission to represent Seward County on the Southwest Homeland Security Regional Council.
