Last year, in a quarterfinal match at Talihina, the Texhoma Red Devils had a 12-point lead. The Red Devils ended their season with a 36-26 loss in the game. But the 2025 squad, led by second-year head coach Garrett Harland, is a resolute remnant of that November 22nd night.
Texas returns nine starters on both sides of the ball after finishing 8-4 the previous season. The Class A-2 school has 27 football players. Goodwell is home to five of those players.
Among the important players are: Jr. QB/DB RB/LB Trighton Moore, Jr. RB/OLB Eli Hernandez, Jr. RB/OLB Braylon Kimball, Jr. George Johnson, Aden Whatley, Estevan Martinez, and Cade Collins, all senior linemen. Moore’s sophomore season saw him pass for more than 1,400 yards.
