Tyrone Ready for Another Run

Published On:

One of the best teams in the listening area might once more be the Tyrone Bobcats. The class C Bobcats, who were 9-3 the previous season, have five offensive and six defensive starters returning. For football, they have 17 players out. After going 56-14 from 2016 to 2021 and dropping 4-6 the previous two years, the Bobcats got back to winning ways last year.

Tyrone will play safety and be a powerful under center while Miguel Baray, the Class C District 1 Offensive MVP, returns for his junior year. Senior lineman Mario Munoz, Senior LB/TE/G Jondavid Parker, Senior WR/RB/CB Brylon Hickey, Senior TE/DE Brenner Witt, Senior RB/CB Elijah Anguiano, Senior lineman Kingston Andrew, and Senior lineman Victor Bravo are additional important Cats.

Tyrone doesn’t play at home until October 3 after playing the first three games away from home. However, four of their final six games will be played in Tyrone.

At 6 p.m. on August 28 on 102.7, the Bobcats will be the first team to be featured on the sidelines at Billy’s. On 102.7, they open at Turpin on August 29 at 7 p.m.
